The Joy of Vegan Baking: The Compassionate Cooks\' Traditional Treats and Sinful Sweets

[You could win this book if you choose!]

I was contacted recently (well, to be honest, not-so-recently, but that’s the way my schedule is these days) by the good folks at Snubbr to see if I’d like to participate in a giveaway.

Give away something to my blog readers?  For free?  And even better, give away a cookbook of the winner’s choice?* No thought required: the answer, of course, was “YES!”.

Gluten-Free Baking Classics

[Perhaps you fancy this one instead?]

For those of you not familiar with the site, Snubbr is a website that, according to the site, “recommends products you’ll love from consumer electronics to gift ideas.”  Describing themselves as “like Yahoo Answers for shopping advice,” they pool both their in-house experts and the reading public for advice and recommendations on products and services.  They promise to “do all the research and work, saving you time and stress.”

Here’s how Snubbr works: readers submit questions such as, “What is your favorite vegan sweet treat?”  or “What are the best investment books?” or “What are the best laptops?”  Each question receives anywhere from 0 to 6 recommendations.  While I’d personally prefer a longer list from which to choose, for someone who knows nothing about the topic, this would be a good starting point (though I wouldn’t expect in-depth analyses here).  It appears that the site is less than year old, which might explain why some questions still await recommendations.

King Arthur Flour Whole Grain Baking: Delicious Recipes Using Nutritious Whole Grains

[There's always this one. . . or several others, as well.]

Luckily for you folks, though, the entry on “What are the best baking books?” contains six recommendations (and guess whose book is on the list?).  You can choose any one of those listed if you win the giveaway!

HERE’S HOW TO ENTER:

Check out the list of baking books on Snubbr’s page.  Then come back here and add a comment, below, telling me which one you’d like.  That’s it.

You can gain extra entries all the usual ways**, of course, but it’s not required.

As soon as my next blog post is published (I’m guessing by Monday, May 17)I’ll choose a winner at random and Snubbr will send you your book.

Suddenly, I feel like making more cupcakes. . .or maybe muffins. . .

Good luck, everyone! :)

*from among their six choices, that is. ;)

**To gain extra entries, do any/all of the following:

  • tweet about this on twitter with a link to my blog, then come back and comment to let me know.
  • post about this on Facebook; come back and comment to let me know.
  • write a blog post about this contest; then–come back here and comment to let me know.
  • send emails to friends/family about it with a link to the content (copy me on the email); then–yep, come back here and comment to let me know.

NOTE:  Snubbr has asked to restrict the entries to people from the continental US only.  As always, many apologies to my fellow Canadians and international readers. . . next time, we’ll go global.
