  • Hi Ricki! I just wanted to shoot you a quick note. I saw you had mentioned on Katie’s blog that Artisana Nut Butters are not available north of the border, but in fact, they are! If you’d like, shoot me an email and I can put you in touch with a local distributor in your area that will be able to guide you to some awesome stores. Also, don’t know if you’ll have the chance to go, but keep your eyes peeled for our booth @ CHFA show thats coming up!

  • Hi Ricki,

I think you’d really like Tofutti Brand recipes. They are vegan-friendly and absolutely delicious. Can I send you details via email? Thanks!

I am SO SO SO excited to learn about you & your blog! Due to celiac disease, food allergies, and candida issues I am also on a vegan, gluten-free, candida diet without a whole bunch of other foods such as almonds, avocados, many beans, etc. I have found many people that are vegan or gluten-free or vegan & gluten-free or on the candida diet – but none that are following ALL of them! It’s been particularly difficult to find sweet recipes that meet all of these criteria. There are lots of “sugar-free” dessert recipes that are really only free of processed sugar but still contain sweeteners that candida sufferers can’t eat. Very little out there using Stevia that are also vegan & gluten-free. So I am going to start trying your recipes. Thank you for sharing!

    Hi Ricki,
Do you know if gluten-free oatmeal is okay for an anti-candida diet?
    Thanks! Keri

    Hi Keri,

It depends which version of the diet you’re following. From what I’ve read, very few allow it in the first stages of the diet. Check the Candida FAQ page for more info and a list of possible diets, though. :)

    Hi Ricki,

I’m just wondering what brand of stevia you use? It seems difficult to find one without alcohol or glycerin, so I end up buying the powder. How would that translate in your recipes when you call for liquid?

    Thanks for any help!

    Ricki Reply:

    Hi Lauren,
I use either NuNaturals (my first choice) or NOW (also very good). Usually, 20 drops translates roughly to 1/4 tsp (1 ml) of the powder. You can play around a bit with proportions to your taste, though, as the liquids differ in intensity. I think the NuNaturals is just purified water (if I remember correctly), but I have to be honest that, at this point, I don’t worry about a few drops of alcohol or glycerin (and glycerin is actually okay on the anti-candida diet). Hope that helps! :)
