What a fantastic flavour packed pizza! There is nothing so satisfying as growing your own ingredients is there? I had much success this year even on my little balcony!

Love the HH's alternative name - would make me want a piece of pizza - so would the tempting photo - only your description of your jalapenos might make me a little wary

I love the idea of kale on a pizza. Those don't look like jalepenos to me, but I don't know!

SUCH a beautiful pesto, packed with an abundance of "good stuff" - your high-nutrient pesto could easily become a staple in a kitchen... Such as ours, perhaps... ;-) I can't wait to fix a batch and try it on everything!

Vegan_noodle,
Having never grown anything, really, before this, I couldn't believe how cool those peppers were--they actually GREW!! I'm sure the pizza would be good without them if you prefer a milder pie, though. :)

holler,
Sorry to make you hungry! (Or maybe that's a good thing?). I learned to be adventurous with pizza when I was on a regimen that didn't allow cheese. . . now I just think of it as a big, open-faced sandwich!

Maureen,
Thanks so much! (Ah, if ONLY I could serve this in my own restaurant. . . *sigh*).

Ole is right!! How cool that you are growing your own peppers! I am no big on eating them raw, but my husband is so I wonder if he could handle the heat. That pizza looks awesome.

VeggieGirl,
Glad you like the idea--though I did say "holy--!!" a few times from the jalapenos!

CCV,
Broccoli is always a great touch to pizza, I find :)

Cecilia,
Thanks for your comment! I agree about the pesto--and even more so, I think, when it's spicy like this one. :)

Lucy,
Darls, you always make me smile! ;)

Celine,
Not a wuss, just differently taste-budded. Maybe try with half the peppers?

Shellyfish,
Thanks for the pepper ponderings--and I LOVE your idea of the crust bones--we give them to The Girls all the time, just never called them that (but I will now!). And you gave me the greatest kick ever calling me "cool" (probably the first time ever for this nerdling!)

Ashley,
Glad you like it! I'm sure it would be fine with less/no jalapenos if that's your fancy!

Lisa,
Thanks so much! You're right about the peppers--they are pretty thin-skinned. Ah, who knows? A mystery they may remain--but they do taste good in all those spicy dishes. :)

Lizzie,
Thanks! I'm of the belief that pizza is good pretty much any night!

Bee,
Glad you like it! And the miso does add a great zing to the flavor.

Giz,
Ov vey is right--quite the bit of flame on the tongue! But we're just spicy eaters over here at DDD.

Andrea,
Thanks so much! Of course I hadn't even thought of freezing (duh?)--great idea. Thanks!

ttfn300,
Wish I could send some on over! But freezing will have to do, I guess.

Bittersweet,
Spicy is definitely an acquired taste (or at least it has been for me)--I'd give this a try with maybe just 1/2 a pepper in the whole thing and see how you like it, then build from there!

Susan,
Well, I've given up trying to identify them and moved on to just enjoying them. . . thanks for the guesses! Glad you like the look of the pizza, though :)
